A 68-year-old man faces criminal charges after allegedly driving under the influence following an unusually slow car chase.
Dorie Adams, a Pennsylvania native, appeared at a preliminary hearing on Wednesday and is facing charges for fleeing police while high on marijuana. Adams, the suspect in the case, was followed by police for approximately 15 miles as he traveled 20 mph.
Police attempted to pull Adams over as he drove on Route 220, using stop sticks to bring his car to a halt, but he slowly pressed on.
“All this for just a DUI and smoking a little marijuana. I hope you are happy with yourself,” Adams reportedly told law enforcement after police caught up with him. Adams was previously charged with marijuana possession one week earlier.
