Man Hurts Girl And Gets DUI
Many times people who get a DUI are worried and ashamed that they got in trouble. Too many times people forget about the consequences their actions could have on OTHER people. This man in Arizona did exactly that, when he injured a girl in a traffic collision, because he was under the influence of alcohol.
A man suspected of severely injuring a 12-year-old girl in a traffic collision before leaving the scene Monday morning was driving without a valid driver’s license and has had numerous drug- and DUI-related run-ins with police, according to court records.
Clint Rasho, 40, was arrested Monday on suspicion of leaving the scene of a three-vehicle crash in Phoenix and booked on suspicion of aggravated assault, endangerment and failure to remain at the scene of a crash.
Records show Rasho has a pending case in Maricopa County Superior Court for aggravated DUI, a dangerous drug violation and a narcotic drug violation. His trial was scheduled for Jan. 30.
Glendale Municipal Court records show that Rasho was also cited for driving without a license on Dec. 30, 2019. Information regarding when Rasho’s next scheduled court date for that case was not immediately available as of Tuesday evening.
Records from courts across the Valley show Rasho faced drug-related charges as far back as 2004, but most were dismissed after he pleaded to other charges instead.
Rasho driving a 2008 Infiniti SUV shortly before 8 a.m. Monday southbound on 43rd Avenue, just south of Peoria Avenue, and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 38-year-old woman in the two-way left-turn lanes, according to Phoenix police.
The woman’s four children were inside the Impala when the crash occurred, police say.
Police say the crash pushed the Impala into a Dodge Durango driven by a 38-year-old woman who was waiting to turn into a private drive.
A 12-year-old girl was critically injured by the impact and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No one else involved in the crash was injured.
Police say Rasho fled the scene before police found him in the 10300 block of North 43rd Avenue. Police arrested and booked Rasho into Fourth Avenue Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault, endangerment and failure to remain at the scene of a crash.
